Band 2 Support Worker - Learning Disabilities Support Worker
Some of their service users might have learning disabilities, some could be young people leaving care or some people just need a few hours of extra support to manage their homes.
They also provide a service that helps people settle in at home after a stay in hospital. This is along with homecare and domiciliary care services, nursing homes and several visiting support services for people with a range of support needs.
The support they need depends on the needs of the individual which could include:
- Helping people to stay fit and well
- Support them with different day to day activities
- Providing 24-hours care
- Helping people to manager their home and stay independent
What we are asking for:
- 6 months previous experiences in healthcare
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage service users on an ongoing basis
- This role requires an enhanced DBS check
